Overview
Ganesha Chaturti is a popular Hindu festival celebrating the elephant-headed god Ganesha. Every year, millions of Ganesha idols are made for the festival and are immersed in the sea. Most of these idols are made of non-biodegradable Plaster of Paris and toxic materials that pollute the sea and kill fish. Ogilvy & Mather Mumbai partnered with SPROUTS Environmental Trust to create and promote biodegradable Ganesha idols made from
fish food.
