a veil at all. Tathqeef, an organization that supports women's education in the region wanted to challenge the misconceptions and inspire Arab women.

Using the very cultural symbol in question, we told stories of extraordinary Arab women and their achievements. Through the age-old art of Arabic calligraphy, bold black expressions gave each veil a powerful voice of its own. Allowing the world to see more than just 'oppressed veiled women'.
