Hill & Knowlton Strategies helped introduce Gillette to the world of eSports with an industry leading campaign.
Hill & Knowlton Strategies, working in partnership with Gfinity, a global leading eSports provider, creatively concepted and executed the 2016 Gillette Championship, a virtual football tournament hosted in the UK and Gillette’s first eSports partnership.
Gillette and Gfinity hosted a month of online tournament qualifiers to identify the 24 best Pro Evolution Soccer players to compete at an epic finals weekend held at the Gfinity Arena in Fulham.
The online and offline event was a live replication of the UEFA Euro 2016 Tournament and gave Gillette the opportunity to drive conversation around a relative moment in time as well as driving innovation through their approach to sports partnerships.
Streamed live on gaming broadcaster Twitch, the event provided a platform for Gillette to engage with live event attendees as well as those watching online through bespoke content created in partnership with Gfinity.
